Combating Med Errors: Practical Strategies for Safer Medication Administration

For all Impruvon Customers on 6/25/2026

Medication safety is a shared responsibility, and reducing med errors starts with creating systems that better support staff, strengthen communication, and protect the individuals we serve. In this session, we will come together to explore practical, real-world strategies for safer medication administration and talk through the everyday challenges that can increase risk across workflows, handoffs, documentation, and follow-up.

We will discuss best practices for building stronger medication safety processes through clearer policies and procedures, more effective eMAR use, thoughtful automations and notifications, stronger escalation pathways, and ongoing training and reinforcement. We will also explore how real-time dashboards and reporting can help teams respond earlier, learn together, and foster a person-centered culture of safety rooted in support, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Whether you are looking to strengthen existing practices or gather new ideas from a peer-centered conversation, this session is designed to offer practical takeaways you can bring back to your team and apply in ways that support safer outcomes every day.
